The JCR Concepts course will enable students to understand the basic concepts and benefits of a JCR-based repository and to gain practical experience using a JCR-enabled product out-of-box.
Using CRX ('Content Repository Extreme', Day Software's implementation of the JCR specification) as an example, the course covers the basics of the repository model, shows how to install the software and how to manage content using the CRX interface through a series of case studies and exercises.
Advanced topics such as integration and migration scenarios are also covered at a high conceptual level.

This course is NOT a developer training. It is intended to introduce the student to the philosophy behind a JCR compliant repository, explain the benefits a standardized repository provides, and provide some practical experience with a working repository product at the user level.
