CRX - A Full-Featured Java Content Repository
Day’s CRX is the first commercially available, industrial-strength content repository implementing the groundbreaking new Content Repository for Java Technology (JCR) standard.
Content repositories are a key element in the software infrastructure of global companies. Infrastructure however, can only be successful when it is based on standards. Standardization has been missing in the content repository industry, which has been characterized by a confusing plethora of proprietary repository technologies. The goal of Day's CRX and the JCR standard is to change this.

With Day’s CTO, David Nuescheler, serving as the specification lead for the standard, Day had the responsibility for developing the Reference Implementation (RI) and the Technology Compatibility Kit (TCK) for JCR. Delivery of these key technology components signifies the finalization of the standard. Companies now wishing to develop products based on the standard will need to run their products against the TCK process to validate functionality.
