Chief Executive Officer
CEO

Erik Hansen is CEO of Day, responsible for overall company strategy. Mr. Hansen is a recognized software industry veteran with over 30 years of experience as a senior executive at leading software companies, including Interwoven, Tibco, Siemens and Apple, both in Europe and in the United States.

Before joining Day, he was leading the European operations of U.S. ECM vendor Interwoven as Senior Vice President and General Manager EMEA. Prior to Interwoven, Mr. Hansen was heading the European operations of Netegrity, a leading provider of identity and access management solutions. Before his engagement at Netegrity, Mr. Hansen served as President EMEA at Tibco, where he very successfully built the European operations of this global infrastructure software vendor. Before Tibco Mr. Hansen was Executive Vice President and General Manager Operations of Siemens Pyramid Inc , a 100% owned subsidiary of Siemens, during which time he was based in San Jose, California.

Chief Financial Officer

Chris Harano is Chief Financial Officer of Day. His responsibilities also include Corporate Development, and Financial and Strategic Planning.

Before joining Day, he had served as an interim-CFO and financial advisor to various Internet-related ventures. Mr. Harano was also a Director in the Financial Advisory Services practice of Price Waterhouse from 1994 to 1998, and served as an auditor with PriceWaterhouse from 1986 to 1988. Prior to Price Waterhouse he worked at a merger and acquisitions boutique firm from 1989 to 1992.

Mr. Harano holds an M.S. degree from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1994), a B.A. degree in economics from University of California, Los Angeles (1986), and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chief Technology Officer
David Nüscheler is Chief Technology Officer for Day. He is responsible for technology strategy for the company and ongoing product development. Mr. Nüscheler joined Day in 1994 and is key to the growth of the company from a small multimedia agency to a leading enterprise content management solution company. He created the basic concept for the original Communiqué and has guided product development to create a truly advanced content unification and presentation platform. He specializes in application and systems programming, as well as Internet programming.

Mr. Nüscheler studied Computer Science at the Swiss Federal Institute Technology in Zürich, Switzerland.
Chief Scientist
Roy T. Fielding is Day's Chief Scientist, responsible for guiding Day's research efforts to update the infrastructure upon which the Web is based, thereby improving the reliability and robust behavior of applications built upon that infrastructure, including Day's products and the applications built by customers using Day's software technology.

Dr. Fielding is best known for his work in developing and defining the modern World Wide Web infrastructure. He is the primary architect of the current Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP/1.1), co-author of the Internet standards for HTTP and Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI), and a founder of several open-source software projects, including the Apache HTTP Server Project that produces the software for over 60% of public Internet web sites.

Dr. Fielding received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
Senior Vice President, Americas and Asia/Pacific
Chris Stark is Senior Vice President, Americas and Asia/Pacific at Day Software. Mr. Stark directs sales, operations, and marketing for those regions of the world.

Previously, he held the positions of Vice President of Western Sales and Vice President of Channels at Vignette Corporation. Stark went to Vignette with the company's $1.7B acquisition of OnDisplay in May 2000. During his tenure at OnDisplay, he served as Vice President of Channels and Corporate Development.

Prior to this, he spent 5 years with I2 as Vice President of Western Sales, and 10 years with Dun & Bradstreet Software working in sales management.

Mr. Stark holds a degree in Business Administration from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Vice President of Global Services
Piotr Zabiello is Vice President of Global Services, based in Switzerland. Mr. Zabiello joined Day in May 2000. Prior to that, he was an IT consultant for Hoffman-la-Roche. From 1994 to 1998 Mr. Zabiello was general manager of Swiss based Msystem Computer AG, a System Integrator and IT consultancy.

Mr. Zabiello holds a M.S. degree in economics from the University of Basel and a Master of Business Engineering HSG from the University of St. Gallen.
Senior Vice President, Europe

Angelo Buscemi is Senior Vice President Europe at Day Software and is based in Basel, Switzerland. Mr. Buscemi directs sales, operations and marketing for Europe.
Mr. Buscemi joined Day in January 2001 and strongly influenced the transition of Day to a standard software company.

Prior to Day he spent two years (1999 - 2000) at Oracle Software GmbH in Switzerland and ten years (1989 - 1999) at Computer Associates AG in Switzerland working in various sales management positions.

Mr. Buscemi holds a degree in electrotechnical engineering.

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Jean-Michel Pittet is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Day Software, based in Basel, Switzerland. Pittet is responsible for Day's Product Strategy and the day-to-day operations of Day's worldwide engineering and product management teams. Mr. Pittet joined Day in 2001 and is key to the growth of the company to a respected Enterprise Software Product company.

Pittet joined Day from Silicon Valley startup Embrace Networks, where he was responsible for leading the software engineering team as Director of Engineering. Prior to that Mr. Pittet was an Engineering Manager at Silicon Graphics in the US. He was responsible for Gigabit Ethernet and other Networking groups, releasing the IRIX Operating System.

Mr. Pittet received a MBA from the University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business and an MSc in Computer Science Engineering from the  Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
