Features and Plugins for Eclipse

Welcome to the Download page for Eclipse features and plugins to leverage Day Software products with your Eclipse IDE.

Eclipse supports basically supports two kinds of installation types:

  • Installation through the Eclipse Update Manager, which allows for guided installation of new features after downloading from the internet. See the section How to use Eclipse Update Manager below for a short introduction on how to configure the Day update site.
  • Manual installation by unpacking an archive file into the top level Eclipse installation directory.

The preferred installation method for Features and Plugins provided by Day is going through the Eclipse Update Manager. Of course the package files for download and manual installation will generally also be provided.

Features available

The following features are currently available for download from the Day update site:

The features are also available through the Eclipse Update Manager. Configure a remote site pointing at http://www.day.com/eclipse/ to access the Day update site to download features.

Note

The Day Servlet Engine Feature for WTP feature is available in three versions from the Update Site: Version 1.0.1 only works with WTP 0.7 and places restrictionson the Day Servlet Engine Configuration. It is recommended you use the released WTP 1.0.1 together with the Day Servlet Engine Feature for WTP Version 1.1.0. This version also works better with the configuration of the Servlet Engine classpath configuration. Finally the Day Servlet Engine Feature for WTP Version 1.2.0 must be used for WTP 1.5.0 and later available with Eclipse 3.2. It is recommended to use the latest version of WTP available, which is WTP 1.5.3 in April 2007.
