Education FAQs

Day reserves the right to cancel class up to 10 business days prior to the start date of the class. In the event that the session has to be cancelled, you will be notified. Liability is limited to the return of payment only. We will not reimburse registrants for any travel or hotel cancellation fees or penalties.

If you need to cancel your enrollment in a class, Day has the following policy:

• Cancellations occurring more than 10 business days prior to the start of class - No penalty
• Cancellations occurring between 6 to 10 business days prior to start of class - 50% of the enrollment fee is charged
• Cancellations occurring 5 or less business days prior to start of class - 100% of enrollment fee is charged
• Please note that a reschedule request is also considered a cancellation.
• Refunds will not be allowed for no-shows.

Prerequisite requirements are listed in each course description and we highly recommend reviewing them prior to registering for a class.  Students who do not meet these prerequisites will have difficulty successfully completing the class exercises and objectives.

The class hours are indicated on your Class Confirmation letter you will receive via e-mail. Typically, most Day education centers open at 8:30 am (daily) with classes starting at 9:00 am. Classes end approximately at 5:00 pm (daily). There is a lunch break as well as a 15-minute mid-morning break and mid-afternoon break.

In order to get the most benefit from the training you have purchased, Day does not recommend leaving the class early on the last day. Unless otherwise noted, all classes will end at 5PM each day. In rare cases classes may finish a little earlier due to class size, questions raised, and overall progress by the class as a whole. If all class objectives and questions have been adequately addressed, the instructor may release the class early on the last day.

No, lunch is not provided with the class, however the instructors can provide you with recommendations for local restaurants.

Each student will receive two printed documents for their personal use: A Training Manual and a Lab Exercise Book. These materials are yours to take with you after the class and are a valuable resource for you to use after the class. They are for your personal use and are not to be distributed.

Unless otherwise noted, each student must bring a laptop that meets our minimum requires as listed here. Please note that you must have Administrator rights to your laptop to allow the installation of your own personal training environment for the class.

Note that our Basel Switzerland facility is equipped with workstations for 8 students, so students do not need to bring their laptops unless otherwise notified.

Unless otherwise noted, the maximum class size is 12 students. This allows our instructor to provide the most effective training possible, balanced with adequate hands-on practice and individualized assistance.

Business casual attire is recommended.

No, Day Education course materials are not separately for sale. You must attend a class to receive the manuals.

In addition to our publicly-scheduled classes, most of our instructor-led courses can be delivered as an on-site class at your location. On-site education events are designed to meet your needs, while reducing the impact on your business and education budget.
